This Is Not Traditional Employment

This is your studio — supported by ours.

You control your schedule.
You set your rates.
You manage your students.

We provide the space, support, and community.

Why Independent Music Instructors Choose Sound Hall Studios

We understand the challenges of teaching from home or inside a traditional retail music store — limited performance opportunities, minimal marketing support, and being treated like a room rental instead of a professional educator.

Sound Hall Studios was built to be different.

We offer:

  • Acoustically treated private teaching studios
  • Performance space for recitals and showcases
  • Recording studio access
  • In-house marketing support with instructor profiles on our website
  • Administrative support for group class offerings
  • Retail discounts for instructors and students
  • A safe, family-friendly teaching environment
  • Masterclasses and workshops for you and your students

We believe students grow through performance, collaboration, and belonging — and we provide the ecosystem to support that growth.

Flexible Membership Options for Independent Music Instructors

We offer two membership levels designed to support instructors at different stages of growth.

Both levels include professional studio access, marketing visibility, rental discounts, performance opportunities, and community engagement. As your studio grows, your membership can grow with you.

A background check is required for all teaching members.

Who We Welcome

We are seeking Independent Music Instructors across all disciplines, including:

Band • Orchestra • Vocal • Combo • Music Theory • Composition • Early Childhood Music • Recording & Production • And more

If you are passionate about music education and want autonomy, opportunity, and a professional space to call home — we would love to connect.

FAQ: Independent Instructor vs. Employee
