Cancellation & Refund Policy
Please review our cancellation and refund guidelines before booking. Questions? We are always happy to help.
At Sound Hall Studios we understand that schedules change and life happens. Our cancellation policy is designed to be fair to both our members and walk-in customers while allowing us to manage our studio availability responsibly. Please review the guidelines below carefully before making a booking.
This policy applies to all studio rental bookings, recording studio sessions, The Hall rentals, and Sound Hall Studios-produced programming including workshops, masterclasses, and events.
Studio Rental Cancellation Policy
General Walk-In & Public Bookings
- Cancellations made 24 hours or more in advance — full refund or credit toward a future booking at your request.
- Cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance — no refund. A credit toward a future booking may be issued at Sound Hall Studios’ sole discretion if the time slot is successfully rebooked.
- No-shows — charged in full with no refund or credit issued.
- Two or more no-shows may result in a requirement to pay in full at the time of booking for all future reservations.
Member Bookings
- Cancellations made 24 hours or more in advance — no charge. The time slot is released back into availability.
- Cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance — session charged at the member’s discounted rental rate.
- No-shows — charged at the full walk-in rate for that studio.
- Repeated no-shows will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and may result in loss of priority booking privileges.

Membership Cancellation Policy
General & Instructor Memberships
All Sound Hall Studios memberships are month-to-month with no long-term commitment required.
To cancel a membership, written notice must be provided at least 10 days before your next monthly renewal date. Cancellations submitted after this window will take effect at the following renewal date.
Membership fees are non-refundable once a billing cycle has been charged.
Accounts must remain in good standing to retain access to membership discounts and benefits. Sound Hall Studios reserves the right to suspend or terminate a membership for non-payment or violation of our membership agreement.
Instructor Memberships require 30 days written notice to cancel. Please refer to your Instructor Membership Agreement for full terms.

Chargeback Policy
Sound Hall Studios encourages all members and customers to contact us directly at info@soundhallstudios.com or 804-816-2350 before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute with their financial institution. Most billing concerns can be resolved quickly and amicably without involving a third party.
If a chargeback is initiated for any charge that is consistent with the terms of this policy or our membership agreement, Sound Hall Studios reserves the right to:

The Hall Rental Cancellation Policy
The Hall is available for rental during select weekday morning hours and on Sundays. Due to the nature of larger event bookings, The Hall follows a tiered cancellation schedule.
Cancellations made 7 days or more in advance will receive a full refund.
Cancellations made within 7 days of the booking date will result in 50% of the booking fee being retained by Sound Hall Studios. No exceptions.
Cancellations made within 48 hours of the booking date will result in the full booking fee being retained by Sound Hall Studios. No exceptions.
Workshop, Class & Event
Cancellation Policy
Registrations for Sound Hall Studios workshops, classes, and events are subject to the following cancellation terms.
Cancellations made 7 days or more before the event date will receive a full refund or the option to apply the credit toward a future Sound Hall Studios event.
Cancellations made within 7 days of the event date are non-refundable. A credit toward a future event may be issued at Sound Hall Studios’ sole discretion.
No-shows are non-refundable and no credit will be issued. Registrations are non-transferable unless approved in advance by Sound Hall Studios management.
In the event that Sound Hall Studios must cancel a scheduled workshop, class, or event, all registered attendees will receive a full refund or the option to transfer their registration to a future session. We will make every effort to provide advance notice and will communicate directly with all registered attendees as quickly as possible.
