Our Story
How two music industry veterans decided that Central Virginia deserved something better — and built it.
Shannon Loy and Chris Davis did not set out to open a business. They set out to solve a problem — one that every musician in Central Virginia already knew existed. A professional, welcoming, fully equipped music space that belonged to the community it served. So they built one.
At Sound Hall Studios, we believe music is for everyone. Our mission is to create a community-centered hub where musicians of every age, background, and skill level have access to professional space, quality equipment, and genuine support. We foster creativity and curiosity in an environment that is family-friendly, non-judgmental, and built around the belief that every person who loves music deserves a place to pursue it.
We are more than a rehearsal space. We are a community. Whether you are picking up an instrument for the first time or you have been playing for decades — you belong here.
Giving back is not an afterthought at Sound Hall Studios. It is woven into everything we do. We are committed to expanding music education access for underserved youth across Central Virginia, because music does not just make better musicians — it makes better humans.
