Sound Hall Studios is that home — a first-of-its-kind music hub in Henrico County, Virginia, built for students, families, adult hobbyists, independent music teachers, and performing musicians.
Whether you’re booking a rehearsal room by the hour, renting a professional teaching studio for your private lesson business, laying down tracks in our recording studio, picking up reeds before your next session, or dropping into The Hall — our co-working lounge, creative hub, and intimate performance space — everything you need as a musician is here, in one welcoming space.

The Hall seats up to 65 guests and features a baby grand piano, professional sound
and lighting, and a welcoming co-working lounge open to members daily.

Practice & Rehearsal Studios
10 acoustically treated rooms available by the hour — for solo practice, band rehearsals, and independent instructors teaching private lessons. No contracts, no commitments.
Recording Studio
A professional recording space for musicians, vocalists, and creators. Book hourly walk-in sessions, self-service recording time, or a produced session with our in-house sound engineer. Members save on every session.
The Hall
Our versatile multi-purpose space seats up to 75 guests and transforms from a creative co-working lounge to an intimate performance venue. Available for workshops, masterclasses, recitals, showcases, and private events.
Classes, Camps & Workshops
Group instruction, skill-building workshops, seasonal music camps, and masterclasses for all ages and skill levels. Event calendar updated regularly.
Music Accessories Shop
A fully stocked in-house retail shop carrying everything you need to keep playing — reeds, strings, drumsticks, tuners, rosin, maintenance supplies, and more.
Instrument Rentals
Monthly band and orchestra instrument rentals for students and musicians. Rent-to-own options available. Back-to-school season rentals are our specialty — conveniently located across from J.R. Tucker High School.
Instrument Repair & Restringing
Expert repair for brass, woodwind, and percussion instruments through our partner E Major Music Repair. Restringing for guitar, bass, violin, viola, and cello — drop off anytime during business hours.
Community Events
Open mic nights, student showcases, jam sessions, benefit concerts, and member events — the kind of programming that builds a real music community. Check the calendar for what’s coming up.

Rent a professional teaching studio by the hour, benefit from in-house marketing support and a profile in our Teacher Directory, and access a community of fellow educators. No commission cuts. Adult Hobbyists
Always meant to get back to playing? Sound Hall Studios is a no-pressure, no-judgment space designed for adults who love music at any skill level. Book a practice room by the hour, join a workshop, come to an open mic, or just hang out in The Hall with your instrument and a cup of coffee. This is your space too.
Bands & Ensembles
Stop rehearsing in garages and living rooms. Sound Hall Studios has fully equipped band rooms with professional backline — drums, amps, keyboards, mics — available by the hour with no long-term commitment. Our “We Are Family” membership gives your whole group VIP access and up to 40% off every session.
